How nice.. fried rice

The Health Ministry is drawing up new guidelines for school canteens on healthy and nutritious food to help arrest the issue of obesity among schoolchildren.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai also announced the immediate need for school report cards to include schoolchildren’s body mass index for teachers to monitor their health. This, he said, was among the new measures to keep parents informed about their children’s health.

Is it possible to create a reasonably-priced meal that is nutritious and tasty? Yes, there's egg fried rice with prawn at RM3.20.

Ingredients :-
1 tbsp palm cooking oil (5 sen)
2 shallots (10 sen)
2 cloves of garlic (10 sen)
spring onions (10 sen)
200g prawns (RM1.00)
2 eggs (80 sen)
20g french beans (55 sen)
100g cooked rice (50 sen)
a pinch of salt and pepper



Method:-

1. Chop the shallots and garlic. Fry in oil until golden brown. Add salt and pepper.
2. Add in prawns.
3. Once the diced french beans is lightly sauteed, add in cooked rice.
4. As rice turns slightly crispy, add in the eggs. Mix well for another two minutes.
5. Garnish with spring onions.

Serves two.
